Almost Crazy

I think my kids are determined to drive me crazy. Maybe it is just me trying to do it all by myself. I know my sister is doing it and has done a great job. But I feel I am going to scream almost every day. There is always something. I love them very much. I can only imagine how my mom felt with 4 girls in the house.

This weekend was another crazy one. I was sick until Saturday. Still worked on Jacob's room. Which he in now in and loving. Not much to see in the picture but I'm sure as time goes by it will get better. I told him he had to wait a few weeks to put things on his walls.

Kaylin's room is all but finished she is liking it but she is lonely upstairs by herself. Ok I have the pics backward. That's me. Have a good night.

Almost Healthy again

What a week it has been. It starts out with Jacob getting sick and had to come home from school on Monday. Tuesday evening Kaylin starts to get sick. Wednesday she has a fever and can't go to school and Jacob still isn't feeling good. Thursday they both go to school and I head to work, get to work and have to leave as soon as I get there because I know have what the kids have. David has been gone all week because of work. Kaylin has missed soccer games and practices and Jacob has missed Boy Scouts. I sure hope that this week coming up will be better.
I am concerned about my brother-in-laws that are in Texas at this time. Hurricane Ike is on the hunt for some damage to do. I pray that everything will be fine. Even as it moves up thur Arkansas and on north.
I almost have Kaylin's room finished. We went tonight to get some things to finish up. She still needs curtains and bedding. She is wanting to design it herself. It is very hard getting her to make up her mind. She and I do not see things the same. I know what she chooses will look great. It's just me letting go of something and letting her do it.

What a Life

Ok, lets see since the last time I have blogged, soccer has started, school is in and all is right with the world once again.

I have been very busy since soccer has started. Kaylin is doing very well. She has played 3 Varsity games. She is on the Junior Varsity team. We are very proud of her. High school seems to be going ok for her. She is still not real sure about it but she is going to do great.

Jacob has gotten his braces on. His teeth has already started to move. They are looking very good. He is doing very well in school. 6th grade seems to be ok for him. At the moment him and Kaylin are both alittle sick. Just mostly sinuses. It is that time of year in WV. He is always doing something. Riding his bike or just playing outside. He's a good kid. He now has to go to a sitters three days aweek. He gets out of school before I get off work. He is adjusting to it. I'm sure it will be just a thing he does soon.

David is out of town now for a while. He will be working in Berkley Springs, WV and also in Fredrick, MD. He is working hard and gets to all of Kaylin's games. He doesn't have a lot of time for anything eles right now.

As for me, I have been painting Kaylin's room. It has been 10 years since I have painted. So I thought it was about time. This is just alittle into the project. The closet door is now zebra print. I'll post more pics as it comes along. Jacob has now decided that is room is too little and wants to live in the basement. So I guess that is where he will be by the weekend. They keep me busy. But I love it.

Well it is off to work tomorrow. It's been a nice break. But ready to get back. TTUS.

It's been a While

Well I'm back. It has been a while since I've been on here. I have been back to work and working hard. More than normal. It is that time of year when everyone wants braces on before school starts. So it is extra time in the office for me.
Kaylin has started soccer with EFHS. She had her first scrimage game. The WON!! It was great. I love watching her play. She did a great job. She will find out on Monday, Aug. 18th if she gets on Varsity or Junior Varsity. She hopes for Varsity but I hope for Junior Varsity. Just so she can study like she needs to. She is ready to get the first few days over with. So she knows what her routine will be. She is really growing up on me. She has decided that her room is not grown up enough for her. I realize it isn't very grown up but she isn't suppose to be a FRESHMEN in High School. :(
Jacob is still loving Boy Scouts. He rides his bike all the time. He camps out in the backyard. He feels so much better than he has. His medicine is helping him so much. He wants to go out and play all the time now. I love it.
David is still working out of town. He should be home every night this week. But then for the next month he will be out of town working. It sometimes gets hard doing it all by myself but he loves his job.
We all have our braces on now. So we got a few pictures taken. Will have to post them later. Not on my computer. Using David's right now.

Camp has come and gone :(

Hello to all,

Well we survived another year of Church Camp. What a week. It was alot of fun. We spent time with friends that we only see once a year. And then can't wait to go back to spend more time with them. It is such a great place to be. The kids are awesome and the staff is wonderful.

It started off ok. Our Dean of Women got sick on Sunday evening and had to go home on Monday afternoon. Then a few days later the girls started to get sick. We had to send them home. A few days after that a few boys got sick and had to go home. It was about 6 to 8 kids altogether. The rest of the kids were fine and had a great time. This is my group. My cocounselor was Quintin Jones. Good boy. Let's see can I remember my kids. Connor, Talon, Chase, Thomas, Forrest, Callie, Erija, Michaela, Mckenzie and Sha (she is not in the picture, who knows where she was). They were a good group. They rocked in sports.

Kaylin was there as Kitchen Help but she also had time to spend with some of the staff.

Jacob had a good time also. He was a camper. This is his last year as a camper Junior week. I no longer have a kid young enough to go Junior week. :( What can I say I'm growing up. I did turn another year older at camp. I am now 24 with 15 years experience at it. But the kids make me feel young.

We got home on Aug. 2nd (my birthday) and didn't do much for the next two days. We were very tired. But we are feeling better now. I'm back to work and Kaylin has started back to soccer practice and Jacob got his braces on today. So now we all have braces on. Expect a picture in a few months of all of us.

Oh yea, Kaylin and I received an award at camp. It was the Directors Award. It is a very prestegist award. We feel very Honored.

Off to Camp for a week

Well here we go. Another week @ Church Camp. We are very excited. It is always a fun time for all of us. We have been packing for a week now. I hope I have it done. I will be going down to pick Kaylin up tonight. Very excited to see her. I've missed her. Well I will try to blog later. Have a great week.

She's at Camp

Today we took Kaylin to camp. She is having a GREAT time already. I will miss her so much. But it is a good time to spend with Jacob. This is a rare time. I had my week with Kaylin while he was at Boy Scout Camp and now it is his turn. It is always good to spend time with them one on one. Catch up on what he is up to and what he is wanting to do. I don't get to see them as much as I could before I was working. So I'm going to try harder to be there when the chance comes.
I am off to work tomorrow. I don't usually work on Monday's but this week we work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then off for another 12days. I will head to Church camp on Sunday. Can't wait. It is always fun.

Another Week Another Exciting Event

The week is done and what a week it was. It was a great week with our visit with Ashley. Lots to do. I tried to keep them busy. I hope she had fun. I know we did.

Work was good. Not much to report there. Which is really good.

On Monday, Jacob and I picked apples from our early harvest apple tree. We started right in on making homemade applesauce. It took all day but it was worth it. The girls helped out too.

Jacob has started Basketball practices again. He is having a blast. So glad he has found something he likes. Kaylin is still doing soccer. She is getting better all the time. Her first scrimage game is August 14th. We'll see if she gets to play. We are crossing our fingers.

Thursday evening the kids decided they wanted to go to see Batman Dark Knight @ midnight. So David said he would take them. ( I went to bed when they left) Before they could go the girls had to get ready for their first premier.

And of course they had to get Jake involved in their fun.

Ivana made it in on Friday evening. It was good to see her but it always is. Ashley was thrilled. We had a Funeral to go to today. It was sad, of course. Jack Cook passed away Wednesday evening. Ivana and Ashley helped out at the church with the food while we were at the Funeral. Then we went to visit Mom. We took lots of pictures at Dad's barn. It is a GREAT place to take them. Now it is time for Kaylin to go to Church camp tomorrow. I think she is excited. She has just been so busy all summer. I'm going to miss her but the week after we will be together along with Jacob at Camp. We always love that week. Well til next time. TATA Ladies and Gents!

It's all in a days work

I so love titling these. Today was back to work. It went pretty good. So good to have Jaime back. Just like she never left. It sure makes things easier.
After work I came home got ready and headed to the mall with Ashley and Jacob. Wow what a treat. Jacob HATES to shop and Ashley is so much fun. She loves to pick on Jacob. They are just like brother and sister. I love it. Kaylin went with her Grandpa Don and Jo for her birthday dinner.
We are all home but David, he is in Gassaway for work. He will be home on Thursday evening. Now it is time to relax for another fun filled day at work tomorrow. CUS

My Vacation Week

Today is July 14th, the last day of my vacation:( Tomorrow it is back to work. It should be a good day, Jaime will be back:) She left and moved to Wyoming and they (her and her husband) hated it so they moved back home. We are so happy to have her back. Work may be a little bit easier with her there.

My vacation was wonderful. I got to spend time with my kids. Mostly Kaylin. Jacob was at Boy Scout Camp. He spent a week there. He had a great time. He did however come home with a bruise on his cheek. I guess it happened when they were doing an exercise of some kind. Some kids elbow hit him. He also got clothes lined and the wind knocked out of him. Then they sent them to the woods at night and he had to build a shelter by himself. He did and they made it back to camp at 6:00am. They started at 3:00am to make it back to camp. He loves it.????

Kaylin and I spent most of the week with Ivana and Ashley. We went to their house on Tuesday the 8th. Spent a couple of days with them. Went to one of Ivana's softball games. She does a great job. She plays second base. No one gets by her bag. Ashley and Kaylin played with a baby the whole time that she played. It was a good time. On Thursday, July 10th we headed to Hershey Park. It was a beautiful day and not too hot. We all enjoyed it. Kaylin and I spent the last few minutes at the water park. Neither of us had swimsuits (which would have scared everyone if I had one on) but we went anyway and had a blast getting wet and getting other people wet. Then we did the traditional thing and got our Milkshake and bought alot of chocolate. Good Times. We came home on Kaylin's birthday. Ashley came with us. She will be spending a week with us. We love having her. Well it's back to work tomorrow. Yeah :(

On our way to PA

Good Morning,
We have another crazy day ahead of us. Yesterday I slept in and then got up and cleaned alittle before going and getting Kaylin from Sandy's. Then came home did some laundry and went to pick up Mollee and take her and Kaylin to practice. Then back home for some packing and more laundry. At 6:15pm I went to pick up Jacob from Boy Scout Camp. (He has a doctors appt. today) Then back home again to finish packing and more laundry.
Today we are up at 6:00am and getting our last minute items and getting them in the car. Jacob's appt. is at 8:45am today. Then we take him back to Boy Scout Camp and we are off to PA. We will be spending a few days with Ivana and Ashley. Hershey Park on Thursday!!!!!! I'll let you know how the milkshake and chocolate taste. :) Have a great day, I'll be back soon.

Sunday (Boy Scout Camp)

Hi to everyone today. Hope all is well. Today was another crazy day in the Carder House. We got up , made sure Jacob was all packed and headed to church. As soon as church was over we headed to Camp Mountaineer. Jacob will be spending a week (Sunday - Saturday) at Boy Scout Camp. He is very excited. The boy loves this stuff. As long as he is happy so am I. Kaylin went shopping and spent some birthday money. She loves to shop. (not sure where she gets that from). Then we went back to church this evening. Aunt Sandy wants to take Kaylin to see fireworks at the 4T Rodeo. So she is off again. I'm allowed to pick her up after 12:00pm tomorrow. I'm on vacation but I will be going into work for a few hours. That is called dedication. :) Now David and I are in front of the TV relaxing. Talk to you tomorrow.

The Day After

It is the day after the 4th, slept in late (enjoyed that ) then we washed the cars. It is very nice today. Actually Beautiful. :) We picked up Kaylin from her friends house that she spent the 4th with. We get her home and her grandma and husband come and pick her up to take her to dinner at the Olive Garden. Hopefully she will be home to be with her family one day. She is a very busy girl. Jacob is almost packed for Boy Scout Camp. He leaves on Sunday and will be back Saturday. He can't wait. David will be leaving Monday morning out of town again. That is all I have for now. Happy 4th of July, 2008

Welcome to my first blog. I'm learning this from my sister and niece. So wish me luck. Today is a very rainy 4th of July. All plans cancelled and moved inside. So that means to me HURRY KIDS lets get this house clean. I worked all day yesterday on our deck for today and didn't on our house. But now it is clean and everyone is gone. It was a good day. My mother-in-law and step father-in-law, sister Sandy, nephew Jeremy were here today. David grilled out in the rain. After eating we watched "The Bucket List" , (what a sad movie but good). Now we are just hanging out. Not an interesting day so far. Hope everyone has a great 4th. bye for now.....
